Embracing Change: Our Shift from Store Credit to Donation-Based Transactions

At Cloverdilly Kids we believe in evolving with the times and adapting to the needs of our community. We're excited to announce a significant change in our “Acceptance Guidelines” and will be moving away from our traditional “Trading” to a more community-oriented, donation-based model. Starting today December 1st, our customers will have the opportunity to donate their gently used great condition items. Helping foster a spirit of generosity and collaboration within our store.

The Reasoning Behind the Change:

Our decision to shift from store credit to a donation-based system stems from our commitment to creating a positive impact in the community. We want to encourage a culture of giving and sharing while providing an opportunity for everyone to access the items they need. By moving away from store credit, we believe we can better align with the values of inclusivity, sustainability, and community support.

How It Works:

Beginning December 1st, customers can bring in items for donation, and in return, they'll receive a 10% discount off anything in the store for purchase. And anything we deem as unsellable we’ll make sure gets donated to a charity that aligns with our mission (aka not Goodwill).  We will also be donating a small portion of our profits every month to a  local charity.  Each month we’ll highlight and pick a new place to support from our area.

Existing Store Credit Accounts

To ease the transition, we're providing a grace period for the use of existing store credit. Customers with store credit must use it by February 1st, 2024, after which it will no longer be valid. You can also feel free to donate your store credit to the store, or have it put on a gift card and gift it for the holidays to a friend or another family. We appreciate your understanding during this period of change and encourage you to take advantage of this time to explore the new donation-based model.

Community Impact:

Our hope is that this shift will not only benefit individual customers but will also contribute to the well-being of our community. The donated items will be shared with local charities and organizations, creating a ripple effect of goodwill and support. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

What You Can Donate:

Our guidelines will stay the same, as before with us just accepting clothing, clothing accessories, books and small toys.  For more information on what we accept and the condition that we are looking for be sure to check out the following links

Join us in this journey, starting today, December 1st, as we embrace change and work together to create a stronger, more connected community. Thank you for being a part of this transformation!
